The airport is about 15 miles from the center of Paris.
We can go to Paris using a taxi, a "limousine", a reserved
taxi (someone will wait for you at the exit) , a train (RER) or a
bus.
• The train RER will take 35 minutes to get to the center
and it will cost 9 euros per person, 1/2 price if you are younger
than 18 yo
It is at terminal 2. If you arrive at terminal 2 , you can just
walk to it. If you arrive at another terminal you will have to take
a free shuttle for 10 minutes.
• A taxi will cost you between 40 and 50 Euros. On top of the
fare displayed on the cab, they do charge couple of Euros for each
luggage you put in the trunk.
Typically, you should add few Euros tips to make around number,
not exceeding 10%. For instance if the driver says 47 Euros,
you can give 50 Euros. Ask the driver to go to rue de Birague
at the Place des Vosges. The place is well-known.
• You can also use a limousine service or a reserved taxi,
such as Taxi Jacques. ( home 01-39-13-44-32, mobile 06.07.22.76.87,
email jacques.grenet@wanadoo.fr)
Taxi Jacques will wait for you with a sign at the airport.
• There are also Air France buses which go directly to Paris
( Invalides or Concorde)
I strongly recommend you to take a cab especially if your party
is more than 2 persons.
Considering the luggage, the jet lag, the fatigue of the trip,
the time to find the buses, the time to find the street, and
the price to use public transportation ( 9 euros per person) ,
it is a deal to use a cab ( 40-50 euros)

The Voltage in France is 220 V while in US it is 110 V. Furthermore,
the US and French plugs are not compatible. We do provide one
plug adapter which will allow you to plug your appliance. But please
make sure that your appliance can handle 220 V ( see the label)
otherwise use a travel transformer instead of the adapter. Most
of the travel appliance which are cordless, such as shaver, laptop
can be recharged with a voltage from 110 to 240 Volts. In that
case you only need the adapter provided.Be especially careful with
items such as printers, curling irons, hair dryers (we do provide
a hair dryer).
There are 2 A/C units, one in the large room and the other one
in the bedroom. Both are connected to the exterior through a
window, so the condensed water runs outside
AC unit in the large room :
•The unit is a powerful Bosch (Silver Edition)
machine very easy to use.It has 4 modes: high A/C, normal A/C,
high fan, normal fan and dehumidifier(the droplet icon).
To change
the mode, press the button 'mode' to toggle between the 4 modes
• turn on press the switch on the
left, to turn it off press it again.
•To set the temperature ,
press the switch Temp/TIme to toggle between the display of the
time or the temperature to set the room. Then use the buttons
+ or - for setting the desired temperature. The temperature is
in Celsius : 20 degrees Celsius is a good choice. To compute
the equivalence in Fahrenheit, you can press the top key of the
keyboard F12 and use the conversion program. Click anywhere
on the desktop to go back to where you were).
• Timer: You can program a timer to turn on and off everyday
at a desired time. Press start to set the time to start the unit,
then set the time with buttons '+' and '-'. Proceed the same
way fro the end time.
• To turn off the timer, press 'start' button
long enough to get the red light off and do the same with the
'end' button.
!! Even though the unit runs the condensed water
outside, sometimes the container inside the unit is full and
needs to be emptied. In that case the icon on the right ( looks
like a bucket of water) turns on. In that case , you will need
to empty the unit. The best way I found is to lift the unit
in a chair back facing( careful it is heavy) then put a pot on
the floor and untie the knot on the flexible rubber pipe to le
the water runs in the pot. Do not forget to tie the knot again
before operating the unit otherwise it will look like your dog
did not get a chance to go out
If you like to leave a feedback, praise or a complain, please send
an email to your agency or write your comments in the register
( Livre d' Or). This French name , LIvre d' Or means
literally Golden Book. It is a notebook where guests can write
comments and read the ones of prior guests.
